Morphy Lake State Park reopens following Calf Canyon/Hermits Peak Fire



New Mexico State Parks have announced the reopening of Morphy Lake State Park after the Calf Canyon/Hermits Peak Fire forced the closure of the park earlier this year. State park officials say the park will reopen on Sept. 23. Park visitors should be prepared for unexpected weather and road conditions due to impacts from the wildfire burn scar. Park officials will be issuing guidance for entry or exit from the park during high precipitation events. With the reopening of Morphy Lake State Park, officials say all 35 state parks are now open.
