Clovis police pursue and arrest homicide suspect

Clovis Police Department were notified of a male suffering multiple gunshot wounds during a call from Plains Regional Medical Center early Wednesday morning.Joe Suniga, 48, died from his injuries and the department began to investigate the case as a homicide. Their findings led them to a suspect: 33-year-old Victor Corral.CPD received information that Corral was at a residence off East 12th Street. CPD SWAT was used and requested Corral to surrender. Minutes later, Corral exited the residence and was taken into custody on an open count murder charge, according to CPD.
